I just want to make the playoffs without the help of a tie-breaker so I can play in my own uniforms. But KC misses the Chieftriots.

I can't believe you lost to the raiders germeh wow thats a killer for trying to get into playoffs Yeah, he just outplayed me.. came back to tie it in the 4th but he got the game winning FG. had a few nice tackles to make it 4th and 1 and such. and didnt fair catch a punt that cost me. Feel like I am getting better though with a good off season feel like I can make a strong playoff push next year. have a few positions i want to upgrade and think i can pretty well

right right, jets have -1 game played. as for chiefs/jags .. i believe that head to head tie breaker do not apply unless Main/Chiefs also beat the Bills (one team needs to sweep all other teams for head to head tie breaker involving 3 or more teams to apply.) in this case 1st tie break becomes conference record. actually to think of it, the jags are 7-3 in conference. if they lose out, they finish at 7-5. Chiefs can catch Jags by winning out and ending with a 7-5 conference record him self and the jags losing out. at that time tie break becomes common games. Jets can leap frog both Jags and Chiefs if he wins out and chiefs and jags lose both remaining games ... whatever this is too damn confusing .. where is joe and his standings/record/stats excel spreadsheet! either way, i'll just pretend that I have a chance to make playoffs just to have some motivation to beat Pats in week 17 Yeah if I win out and Pats and Jags lose both games I'm in. But what happens if I win out and Pats and Jags only lose 1 game? That would put us 3 all at 10-6 who would make it? But I think it's a longshot saying I win out cuz I still face Chargers and Broncos lol.. If i get very very lucky is there a chance I make the playoffs with 9-7 if Pats and Jags lose out as well?? And yea cruff: U better beat the Pats!! Damn why does this have to be so confusing.. Let just roll the dice and see who gets in lol..

A more defined look at the AFC playoff picture.
IF - One of Jags/Pats finish 11-5, and Jets are tied with other Jags/Pats at 10-6
- Jags 11-5, Pats 10-6, Jets 10-6 - Patriots and Jets split season series, next tie-breaker is division record. If Pats 6th loss was to Dolphins, then division record would be tied and Jets would get in based on common opponents. If Pats 6th loss was to Broncos, Pats would get in based on division record. Jags and Jets if Pats lose to Dolphins, Pats if Pats lose to Broncos
- Pats 11-5, Jags 10-6, Jets 10-6 - Jags and Jets did not play each other, next tie-breaker is conference record. Jags would get in based on conference record. Pats and Jags
IF - Pats/Jags/Jets all finish 10-6
- first step in a 3 way tie is to use division tie-breaking procedure to eliminate all but one team from each division. This leads us to 2 possibilities, 1 if Pats 6th loss is to Dolphins and 1 if Pats 6th loss is to Broncos.
- Pats 10-6 (lose to Broncos) - Patriots would win the initial division tie-breaker with Jets based on division record, and then the tie-breaker with the Jags based on head to head. Leaving them as the 5th seed at which point the tie-breaking rules would be applied to Jags/Jets for the 6th seed and Jags would get the 6 based on conference record. Pats and Jags
- Pats 10-6 (lose to Dolphins) - Jets would win the initial division tie-breaker with the Pats based on common opponents, and lose the tie-breaker to the Jags based on conference record, making the Jags the 5th seed which results in the tie-breaking rules being applied to Jets/Pats for the 6th seed, where the Jets would get in based on common opponents. Jags and Jets
Teams tied at 9-7 is a whole different story... I'll wait to see how week 16 plays out before I dig into that one.

So, to simplify that a little bit. Jags winning 1 of their last 2 locks them in. Patriots beating the Dolphins locks them in.
Jets need 2 wins along with either 2 Jags losses or Dolphins beating the Patriots.
So in a weird way, my game with the Broncos is meaningless... other than the fact that it would go a long way towards getting me in the playoffs in my own uniforms.
