I want to suggest a new rule for how many innings a start starting pitchers pitch. I know this sounds dumb, but here me out. To many owners just pitch there starters every game till the 8th inning. We know thats VERY unrealistic, as you know VERY few pitchers actually pitch complete games these days, for numerous reasons. I think we should do some type of A. Punishment for pitching more than the alloted amount on avg for starts, so you if a pitcher starts 4 games and is avg over lets say 7 innings or some set of number, then he misses a start, or B. Only allow a certain about of innings based on starts 4 - 30 5 - 40
Or something like that. I think it makes it more realistic to where people use there bullpen more OFTEN.

i dont like it. i think the game makes pitchers pay way to early when their like in 70's for pitch count, so i dont agree with this, i find only u can dominate me 8 innings with any pitcher

I don't like this either and here's why:
Yes very few pitchers go into the 8th every start (except for Halladay who goes a damn CG every time practically), but also it is very rare for hitters to always swing at the first or second pitch. There are far more 2-2+ counts in the MLB than there ever are here because so many people swing early in the counts. And because of this, pitch counts are always down.

I just dont enjoy playing a guy that might use one other pitcher every single game in a 3 games series, and thats a closer if they do. Just not realistic at all. Look at the numbers of complete games, even 8 inning pitchers in the MLB, they are FARRRRRR lower than that of the VMLB, we are all about making this league as SIM as we can correct? And you can't bring up the ball/strike again, cause we already agreed that in this game its alot harder to recognize a ball/strike then in REAL life.

First of all I don't have a "philosophy" as to make the game shorter, you must have misread my post. I'm saying that since this is a game and people are very aggressive as opposed to real life pitch counts are much lower, therefore having pitchers work deeper into games. And if a guy has shut you down for 7 innings straight and you still haven't caught on he deserves to go 8 if his energy is decent and if he wants his guy to go 8. And if you can't adjust and start knocking him around by then, you deserve to lose.
Not saying I dominate every pitcher who goes to the 8th, because I don't. And that's why I deserved to lose those games because I couldn't figure the guy out. And if its a guy who guys 8 innings and gives up 5 runs then what's the problem? Yes, it's unrealistic unless they're unearned runs, but you're obviously seeing the ball well enough to be beating him.

Like stated, in real life you see the release of the ball, you can pick up the speed, the rotation, in this game, you can't, there are mainly two speeds, offspeed and fastball, thats it. We have ALREADY established that. If I am not mistaken, the league is to bring the game as SIM and real as possible, and a team pitching there starters every time till the 8th or 9th inning doesn't quite seem to be realistic in anyway. We have a limit on how many innings a guy can pitch from the bullpen, but we dont for starters, why is that?

Yes we want to make things sim, but at some point its too much and you gotta play the game for what it is. thats just my opinion on this issue

ya, gotta make sure you know them, so i dont hear any excuses when i see someone breaking them. their there for a reason, and everyone knows they can be changed, thats why we have discussions like this. as i say, im just 1 opinion, if people agree with you than we will def. have a vote, im all for change as long as thats what the league wants
