- new this year, I want to name a player of the week for every week, 1 from AL and 1 from NL. Please submit player stats for 1 player from your team after you've played your 3 game series on the week. Please try and follow the example written below, you can list any player (pitcher or player)
example: [american league] TEAM / CF / Vernon Wells / 15AB, 10H, 2HR, 5RBI, 3SB notes: Made 2 diving catches, a throwout at homeplate, and had the game winning RBI's in games 2 and 3, one with a walkoff homerun.
On every Sunday night your AL & NL weekly MVP will be chosen.

Ryan Ludwick - St. Louis Cardinals 6 for 12, 1HR, 4RBI, 3R in the series notes: His 3-run homer started the rally in the 8-7 comeback win.
[american league] Toronto - DH/OF - Matt Stairs - .462avg, 6 for 13, 5runs, 5rbi, 2double, 2HR notes: in games 1 & 2 was our best player by far, combined 5 for 9 with 2 HR's. He was a huge help in taking 2 of 3 vs the extremely good hitting Texas Rangers
American League: CF - Josh Hamilton - 13AB, 5H, 1 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R. almost single handedly kept his Rangers in each and every game(cept game 1 where 2 pitchers let 7 Jays come across...) he hit .385 in the series, with 1 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R, 1 2B. pack it in boys if he gets hurt or the Rangers decide to become sellers...

[National League]
Braves / SP / Tim Hudson / 1W 8.1 inn. Pitched 8 hits allowed 1 ER 1BB 4K also batted 2 for 3 with 1 double.
NOTES: Tim Hudson carried his team to victory in Game 1 of the series. Not only on the mound but also at the plate. He held a very potent Mets team to a single run to capture a very important season opener.
