Red Sox take the 1 spot in the VLMB Rankings week 1. |
With the season underway, the VMLB looks to have quite the race heating up for the middle part of the season. Only 4 teams are above .500 right now, 3 being in the AL. Things should really start getting hectic this week, new owners will take over for teams that just couldn't get it done, we should see a great middle stretch here and really seperate the winners and the losers. The new Rankings have the Red Sox on top, and a close Yankee team is looking to drive past them, and then you can't forget about the Cardinals in the NL, They are hoping to make a name for themselves once games really get underway for them.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Player of the week honors goes to Travis Hafner of the Cleveland Indians this week. He is batting .405, 2 Hr's, 10 RBIs, 9 runs on 15 hits. He has been a big reason the Indians offense is off to a hot start!
BOTTOM DWELLER
The Blue Jays, Coach MainEvent made a promise, that he would be atop the AL, yet his team is a merely 1-5 to start the season. Of course there are teams with worst records, teams without a win, but for a coach to come out so boldly and make a statement like that, has his teammates on the brink of a clubhouse up-roar. There offense has scored 11 runs, from a coach that claims to be such a great offensive mind. Only time will tell the true fate of the Jays, but we think they are DONE for.
