Hey Main, i've got a question. So pinch hitting really doesn't count for anything right?! I mean, as a bench player, pinch hitting isn't counted as a game started so it really has no effect does it? And If one of my starters started 7 games in a row he's allowed to be a pinch hitter in the 8th one, right?! Not that any of them will play 7 games straight since i've only played 6 games and each one guy has already rested a game.

Pitchers: GM 1(4): Smoltz 8 (Boyer 0.1=1, Soriano 0.2=1) GM 2(5): Jurrjens 7 (Moylan 2) GM 3(6): Hampton 6 (Acosta 2, Soriano 1) GM 4(1): Hampton 7.2=8 (Ohman 0.1=1, Soriano 1) GM 5(2): Hudson 8 (Yates 1) GM 6(3): Glavine 6 (Acosta 1.1=2, Yates 1.2=2) GM 7: Hudson GM 8: Glavine GM 9: Bennett GM10: Jurrjens GM11: Smoltz GM12: Hudson
The only reason why Hampton pitched Games 3 and 4 back-to-back is because i played the games out of order. Played games 4,5,6 first. But technically he had at least three games of rest (gms 5,6,1,2). Main already told me how I messed up by not just using my number 4 starter for that game. My pitching rotation may looked messed up because of the order I played my games and the way I had set my rotation, but I am following the rules just to let everyone know.
Position Players: GM 1: Anderson started for Kotsay GM 2: Thorman started for Teixeira GM 3: Anderson started for Francoeur, Prado started for Jones, Sammons started for McCann GM 4: none GM 5: none GM 6: Infante started for Escobar, Prado started for Johnson GM 7: Prado started for Diaz GM 8: Miller started for McCann, Gotay Started for Johnson GM 9: none GM 10: Pena started for McCann GM 11: Blanco started for Francoeur GM 12:

ya, you were suppose to play the correct pitchers even though you played out of order. but thats why we've got the short first season to get used to things so this will be out of the way for season 2
and yes, you can pinch hit a guy in a game, that is allowed. But I will expect to see only 1 at bat unless theres a big rally in the 8th and 9th or you play overtime.
we will be going over all the teams and making sure people did follow our rules. If players didn't get rested properly they'll be missing some playoff games

so are we not allowed to keep the guy for defense too? Say I have giambi at first, and have damon on the bench, damon is a much better defensive player, so if i put damon in to pinch run or hit (for any reason) can't i keep him in for the rest of the game?
Also something to think of in the future, is allowing pinch hitting to count for something. There are alot of players in baseball that make a living on pinch hitting, they dont play very often at all....ususaly only reason they would play is (injuries) and such. Just things I have thought about throughout the year.

how can you keep Damon in the game to replace Giambi if Giambi is a first baseman? You can't play Damon at first right?

HaHa. Funny. Jesus CAN do everything! And Liq makes a good point about the pinch hitters only being pinch hitters. I'd have to agree with him. But not all of them though seeing as some bench players do get to play a lot.
