As of the end of week 13 each team has played 12 games and here's how each division stack up with each other:
#1 - AFC East (34-14)
Was there really any question about which division is the toughest in the VNFL? Not only does this division feature last year's Super Bowl champion, but incredibly all 4 teams are at least 2 games above .500 and all still have potential to make the playoffs.
#2 - NFC West (29-19)
The Rams(9-3) have a 5-0 record in divisional play, but the Cardinals(10-2) still lead the Rams and the division by 1 game. They are arguably the two best teams in a relatively weak NFC.
#3T - AFC West (23-25)
Broncos(11-1) are taking care of business as usual, however, the Chiefs(7-5) are the surprise of the division as they are still in the wildcard hunt at 7-5.
#3T - AFC South (23-25)
Almost the same story as the AFC West just different teams. Tennessee(11-1) finds themselves in the driver's seat of the division and can clinch the division with one more win. The Jags(7-5) can easily make their argument as one of the most improved teams since last year. Where are the Colts?
#5T - AFC North (22-26)
This bitter rivalry between the Steelers(8-4) and the Ravens(8-4) is getting even more heated. With the AFC Wildcard race as tight as it is, there is no guarantee both teams make it to the playoffs. Steelers and Ravens meet in Week 17 which could be the deciding game between making the playoffs, or watching from home.
#5T - NFC South (22-26)
Panthers(8-4) and the Saints(7-5) are finding their stride, but give it up for the Bucs(4-8) and the Falcons(3-9) helping the NFC South gain some ground compared to last year. This division is starting to be competitive again.
#7 - NFC North (20-28)
Now I know AP has been hurt, but even last season the Vikings(3-9) couldn't manage to make the playoffs. The Bears(8-4) are looking solid but are hearing footsteps from the Lions(6-6) who are still very much alive in the playoff hunt. Packers(4-9) are 4-2 in its last 6 games.
#8 - NFC East (19-29)
Who would have guessed that the once-known Black & Blue Division would now be called the Boo Hoo Division? With only 1 team above .500, the NFC East is struggling, at best. The Eagles do post an impressive 8-4 record so far, but how impressive is that record when 4 of the wins is from relatively weak division opponents.
