you will not be allowed to trade people you have drafted through the rookie draft.
Just like you can't trade FA picks for certain reasons, allot of those same reasons apply to why you won't be allowed to trade the rookies you draft.
First and foremost, additional reasons would be you are able to find a way around our "offseason trade rules" by trading 10 in the offseason, you could than make a plan to pick a player for somebody else (they just tell you on aim who to take) than on week 1 you trade that rookie to that player. So your essentially getting an extra offseason trade, your just doing it in the regular season after 1 game, so your bending the rules to work in your favor.
2nd reason: Rookies are hardly ever traded in the NFL, in most cases they are traded its before they are even signed to a contract, and allot of times because the team and player can't come to an agreement. In the VNFL when you draft a player they are automatically signed to your team, there is no disputing the contract you got them and they will play in the week 1 game, NFL teams don't trade rookies who have signed & played because they would have to pay out a cap penalty because its a new contract & for w/e reason in the NFL to trade a guy in 1st season of a contract is always the most expensive cap penalty there is (I don't know the specifics, just the basics).
Anyways, for those reasons, AFTER YOU DRAFT A PLAYER (in FA or rookie draft) your not allowed to trade that player for 1 season (this season)
NOTE: you can release rookies OR free agents who are drafted AFTER the 3rd round, this is the only exception of where your allowed to drop a player drafted. You should be able to find decent players in the top 3 rounds, at least backups, theres no reason you should be drafting somebody that your going to drop down the road.
