WEEK 1 OF THE VNFL
Welcome to the first week of the regular season 2009 in the VNFL. This has been a crazy off season with some surprising moves made by teams that need no mentioning. The preseason is over the bums have all been cut and the teams are excited to get their shot at the VNFL Lombardi Trophy.
There are many good games this week highlighted by
Eagles vs. Panthers
Jags vs. Colts
Skins vs. Giants
Saints vs. Lions-Will the Lions be able to get their first win in over a year? (This may be a theme every week)
But the game that really sticks out this week is the first game of the year on Thursday night featuring the
Titans vs. Steelers
What a great match up! The Titans who were threatening a perfect 16-0 season last year against the Super Bowl champs! It also will feature one of the best running attacks in all of the VNFL against probably the best defense in the VNFL. As a side note pay attention to how/if the Titans use the “future HOFer” Vince Young to try to throw off the Steelers defense.
