well since somebody found a great Q & A article about the franchise mode, I thought it'd be great if we could get a thread going where we could have all the info people find about the franchise mode, how it works, and what its all about; as I'm sure we're all extremely excited for this, and have a ton of questions as to what its going to give us. heres an article posted already in another thread, maddennfl.easports.com/blog.action?blogId=online%20franchise%201

yeah, good find! Thats good stuff, its pretty obvious at this point in time the free agency will be the toughest thing to deal with.

heres a quote though "you won't be able to trade draft picks for a player" why would you say that if there wasn't a draft at the end of the year? you couldn't trade players if your doing a fantasy draft where your drafting all the players, so maybe theres a rookie draft or is it just a free agency draft? I dont know

just read this info on the "elite madden" you have to pay to get.... I will be paying on day 1, any additional online features are worth it to me, and its only $5.00. I'm sure a few of you will say its BS you have to pay for features after already paying a ton for a game.. but, when you love something, you pay the price, and I will for any extra feature I can get. Heres the info from ign:
First, let's go with the feature that's likely totally new to most reading this. It's called Elite Status and it's sure to start a tizzy on the forums once people read the words "Pay DLC" attached to it. But never fear, it's totally optional and should only be considered as a viable purchase by the truly hardcore Madden fans out there. It costs five bucks (400 points on XBL) and it unlocks what is essentially a VIP online world.
This exclusive club of sorts gets you into the Elite online community and you'll get your own private lobbies and private leaderboards. Beyond that, EA Sports is planning on allowing for some sort of avenue for these hardcore fans to easily communicate with the Madden development team. Beyond that, Elite players will also be the only ones in the Madden online world that will be able to play a ranked match on the All-Madden difficulty setting. The standard ranked match difficulty setting of All-Pro will still be available, but these hardcore fans can take the game to the next level. As an added bonus, the players who pay for the DLC will have their online name colored in gold so everyone in the lobby will know when an elitist enters the room.

first franchise bad news; "The only thing that's missing from the online interaction is the ability for the commissioner of the franchise to advance the week, thus simulating all uncompleted games on the schedule. "
this means when people have fallen behind or gone inactive or dissapeared & we have 1-3 games to play & are like 1-3 days past the deadline I can't just sim or move forward, those games MUST be played. Not a huge deal, the inactive owner should easily be removable & replaceable or you can probably face the CPU if we don't have a quick fill in owner
