Score was 18-2 yet Mark Buehrle still pitched a CG after giving up 24 hits and 18 runs?! Are you kidding me? No way in hell is that SIM play at all. Why did this happen bike?

This game was, for me, essentially unplayable due to lag that, at least on my end, resulted in the pitch meter being completely useless after the first click (the second and third clicks would sometimes double up, sometimes not register at all etc.). I had no control over location whatsoever. Meanwhile on the hitting side pitches would stop on their way to the plate and then be by the batter. Really ugly stuff- the worst I've seen (it apparently was not as bad for my opponent). We consulted with commissioners about that and were told to get at least one game completed regardless of the conditions. So there was a motivation just to get things over with... the game still took a very long time to play.
Would it have been better/more 'sim' to throw a mop-up guy in there after the 5th inning and have that guy also get shelled for four innings? Yes, I suppose it would have. However just to have finished the game at all without pulling the plug felt like an act of heroism from where I was sitting at the moment. Certainly I don't think any competitive advantage came out of it. I'm happy to have Horacio Ramirez sit out the next game as if that's what had happened. At this point a commish is supposed to be subbing for me in that game anyway due to the poor connectivity between pahking and myself.
I'd encourage folks that are concerned to examine the rest of my games that have not had monstrous lag issues.
The pitch count, btw, never did get totally unreasonable (particularly with MB's stamina rating) ... so many 1ps were left over the plate by the meter antics that even with all the hits it was an, um, efficient performance. Without the lag disaster though this doesn't happen so that's a secondary point.
To put it all more briefly-- the playing conditions for me made the whole contest 'unsim' from the get-go... it was just an exercise in finishing the game. I felt no chance to be competitive. The results would have been distorted no matter how many Ps took part.

Liar bike, you big fat cheater;) JK man! I play that guy next, he is never on AIM though! :# Yeah, I haven't seen him a lot. Then again, with the Hawaii time I may be in bed before he gets home from work. He was sympathetic to the issues I was having, which I appreciated. He had lag as well but when we described what we each were seeing in the game it was clear I was having the worse, um, 'experience'. He's my division rival so it's quite annoying that it turned out that way. I want to just try him again a different day in the lobby to see if it's any better b/c ideally I don't want commishes to have to sub for my --FIVE-- remaining games with him. I can't play another game like that either though. Ultimately we are four time zones away from each other and that can't help. He said that he's had slightly better connections with people in NYC though, so who knows... My connection quality with the rest of the league has been really good.

Oh, damn that blows. Sucks even more that he's your division rival and those are crucial games. Well I take back my statement thanks for sticking in there through the horrible lag haha.

ya what they did playing through that was great. the score was a bit much, but thats pahking shoulda slowed down the bats, sometimes u just swing and everythings a hit though. either way they handled it great, played out the game, and biker respectfully just asked for either games to be simmed or sub for the final 2 games, which we of course granted.
def. play again in a week though and see if maybe it was just 1 bad night, i played TB with no lag at all, so hopefully it was just 1 bad night

Yeah, the amount of runs scored is never a deal with me if both guys understand they were doing the best to keep it under control, like you said main, even just contact with no joystick can produce hits.
That sucks that you play hiim 5 mroe times, i hope to just get our 3 games series in! haha.

So - okay now I see he's out of the league. I kind of want this game to be wiped out and get a chance to replay it against the new owner. Understand if that request is denied but compare it against my other performances and I would think it's clear that something abnormal happened here. No complaints about the person; just the connection quality we had that day. Will PM the commishes.

Well, just ask the new owner, thats probaly the only guy that would be the one to ask.
