So i was thinking on what would be an interesting Read for my next thread, and I was looking for somethinbg that could get every team involved and excited so I decided to look back at the first 2 rounds of every teams draft class and see how those players are doing, and then give my own grade on how that team did with their picks, and how their picks are panning out
Chicago Bears- CB Rakeem Jordan and LG Colby Miller, Rakeem Jordan is currently a 77 OVR with blazing speed, but the only problem with Jordan he is currently an Eagle where he has 18 tackles 1 sack 2 pd and 2 fr. Still developing into a good player, and Looks like Chicago let one slip here, 2nd Round Pick Colby Miller is holding down the G position in Chicago, The Ole Miss grad has done a good job, but could look to improve on his 81 RBK and 82 RBK, but his 8 pancakes dont lie. Grade B Miller was a steal.
Cincinatti Bengals- MLB Mack Jackson, RB Lorenzo Redmond. Mack Jackson is a Straight Monster, and at pick #2 they made the right choice as he led the team in tackles last season and he paces the team in tackles this season with 34, and 7 TFL couple with 1 INT, he strikes fear in the opponent much like Ray Lewis used to do. Redmond was a good pick for the Bengals as they lacked a true running game, he is sharing duties with Pierre Thomas, as he has rushed for 429 yards this season on 63 attempts, but has only found the endzone 3 times from the ground. The Grade A- Mack Jackson will be a Bengal for Life.
Buffalo Bills- #4 ROLB Josh Sneed- Fastest linebacker in NFL history, and has shown his speed many times, Bills were one of the worst defenses before pciking up Sneed and he has helped turn this defense into one of the best he has really panned out for them, and sometimes show why he was taken with the #4 pick, but other times he seems lost out there. Grade B, not having a second round pick hurt this grade
Broncos- RE Karlos Dillon, WR Roberson, LE Dillion Leads the league in sacks with 9 has 19tkls 14tfl 9sacks 1pd 2ff WR Roberson - had a great rookie season took a back seat this season only has 7catches for 77yards 1pancake. Grade A- that low in the first round and still managed to get a steal.
Browns- Taurean Barclay, Gary Feazel, K Mike Klem, DT Bryan Luscher- Barclay leads team in catches 26rec 505 yards 5tds 1drop Feazell 6th on the team in tkls 22tkls 7tfl 2sack 5int (leads team) 1td 2pd, Barclay has proven he is the Man and is emerging as the teams #1, Feazel made all rookie team, Luscher is no longer with the team after drug relatied incidents, and Mike Klem can kick them from 60+. The Grade A-, if it wasnt for Luscher sniffing cocaine off a stripper in downtown Cleveland this team scouted the draft very well.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers- LOLB Torian Watts and DT Ford, Watts was definately leading candidate for rookie of the year last season as he was playing phenominal, Ford seemed to be quite a stretch that high in the 2nd round. Watts 3rd on team in Tkls 33tkls 6tfl 2sack 2int 2pd Ford 15tkls 4tfl Grade B, Could have found a better player this high in the 2nd.
Arizona Cardinals- CB Jawan Williams and TE Cameron Jackson- Williams in the #3 CB on the team, hasnt quite evolved as the star this team thought he would be, but is still putting up decent numbers Cards CB Jawan Williams #3cb 17tkls 1pd 2ff 3fr 1td, Jackson was a solid find in the 2nd round TE Cameron Jackson 3rd on team in REC 17rec 200yards 1td 3drops, Could have done a better job with that first pick I feel. The Grade C+
San Diego Chargers- DE Joe Breyley 20tkls 10tfl 4sack 3ff 1fr only pick they had, and they made it worth while as Breyley has turned out to be one good player, but could have gotten Dillon who slipped and seems to be a bit better, or maybe its the system in Denver? or the Juice? The Grade B+
Kansas City Chiefs- Jamarion Bellows, Prince Justin, LT Gladd- Jamarion Bellows 31rec 630yards 7td 4drops FS Prince Justin 23tkls 3tfl 6int 1pd 2fr LT Gladd no longer with the team. Bellows is being everything everyone thought he would be, Justin was a Steal that late in the 1st round, as he was expected as a top 10 pick. The Chiefs had quite the amazing first round, jsut with Bellows and Justin they get an A
Indianapolis Colts- 2nd round pick only- OLB Harrison Clark 5tkls 1tfl 1pd, Colts has no use in this draft and their 2nd round pick isnt even starting..The Grade F
Dallas Cowboys- LT Jackson and FS Virges, A great Draft by the Cowboys they found a cornerstone LT they can build on and a Star FS in 1 draft. LT Jackson 1sack allowed FS Virges 30tkls 1tfl 2int 2pd 1fr 1td...The Grade A
Miami Dolphins- Brandon Trammel, James Fluellen- Well Brandon Trammel basically became the CB cason, who then became Josh Morgan, and FLuellen 12tkls 3tfl 2int1pd, I tihnk the phins shoulda stopped when they had Cason...the grade B-
Philadelphia Eagles- Alonzi Simms and Adam Saint- Simms has great speed and will anchor this defense for years to come, and Saint is a 90 OVR steal in the 2nd round, but the Eagles arent using him as much as he should as he is 5th on the team in Catches. The Grade A-
Atlanta Falcons- Barkley and Onlegubeluye? Barkley Gets an A he was a steal at #5 as everyone expected him to GO #1, and the other dude is an F just because of his name....The Grade B- just because I had to try and spell that name and he only only has 7 tackles.
San Francisco 49ers- Juran Riley CB, 86 OVR, 19 tackles 3 ints, every game seems to get better, and it looks like he will be a niner for a long time as he is becoming a shut down corner..no second round pick hurt as it was traded in what could have been Adam Sainst...the grade B
TO be Continued.....
If you want to put your rookies here, I will grade thme, but this took way to long, if not I will update this every so often
