Well since Im on the bye for week 5 and week 4 is practically over, lets take a look @ some good matchups in week 5...
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals:
Last year this might not have been as big of a matchup, but now the Bengals are trying to show the NFL that they too can compete in the AFC North. The Steelers are back by one of the best defenses in the league and can explode on offense at anytime. The Bengals slow style of play should have their issues in this game but not many. These two teams do not like each other, any time two division rivals square off, a good game can be expected.
My Predicition:
Steelers 24 - Bengals 13
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Baltimore Ravens:
This is another great week 5 matchup, this game can truly go anyway. The Jags play in a weak division but nothing is weak about this team. The Ravens are trying to prove they deserve to win the AFC North, and this season have hopes of knocking the Steelers out of that top spot. Jacksonville is coming off a huge win against the Bengals. The Ravens have only played 1 good team this year and they lost by only 3 on a late second field goal. Expect this to be a grudge match. The key to this game is, can the Jags stop the run. We all know the Ravens have a great defense and their offense has been clicking. This game should be extremely close the winner will be the team that can play all 60 minutes.
My Prediction:
Baltimore 27 - Jacksonville 21
Kansas City Chiefs vs Miami Dolphins:
This is going to be a battle to the finish. The Chiefs and Dolphins have both started the season 0-3 and that is pretty surprising. They both play in tough divisions and one more lose can essentially keep them out of the playoffs, although it is only week 5, these teams will be fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Dolphins have been making trade after trade, lets see if their new additions can step up and squeak out a win. The Chiefs are powered behind last years 1st overall draft pick, Wide Receiver Jamarion Bellows. This will be the Chiefs goto guy if they ever trail in this game, but I do not see this happening. Look for both of these offenses to be explosive in this meaningful game.
My Prediction:
Kansas City 37 - Miami 24
GAME OF THE WEEK
Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets:
These two teams always leave it all out on the field when they play each other. The Jets have established themselves as a dominate team, making it deep into the playoffs the past 2 seasons. The Jets have had the Bills number over these 2 seasons and also walked away with a W when these two teams got together in week 3. The key to this game will be who can get their offense going. Both of these owners love to play defense and the question always surrounds the Bills "Can they stay healthy through a whole game." This team seems to be plagued by injury every season, but I can see Maybin having a huge game, and I predict Byrd to give Sanchez troubles. The AFC East has proven their dominance in the VNFL, I expect both teams to play big games.
My Prediction:
Buffalo Bills 24 - New York Jets 20
~~~~Upset Alerts~~~~
Colts vs Falcons:
I might be putting my neck on the line for this one but I can see the Colts coming up big in this game. They just tied the Texans 30-30 in week 4 but I expect the Colts to come out firing this game. It's only a matter of time before this offense and defense starts clicking, and I expect it to be in this game.
My Prediction:
Colts 17 - Falcons 16
San Diego Chargers vs New England Patriots:
Watch out Patriots, everyone is gunning for you. After winning the Super Bowl in season 2, everyone wants a crack at the Pats. The Chargers, powered this season behind Coach Straus, have something to prove being the newest owner in the league. I expect this to be a high scoring game, the Patriots are still backed by their explosive running back Leron James, but I think the Chargers can take the Pats down. Don't expect the Chargers just lay down and lose, theyve played 3 power house teams already, the Bills, Broncos, and Chiefs.
My Prediction:
San Diego 45 - New England Patriots 42
