Guys, I don't have the time to recruit, but I don't want to just let in bum owners. I need our current owners to play against people who are applying to join the league, hit them up on aim or email them to set up a game. Make sure they play fair, don't do any cheap shit, Use the pitchers correctly (not putting in a starter to replace a starter), not doing that bunting BS people do.
so please put in the effort, im in my last semester of school and i've already put in alot of time to play the game to get to know it, and recruit the people we have, I can't dedicate much more time at this point

Main,
I will do what I can on the recruiting side. From what I have seen so far online, I wouldn't recommend anyone. Also, from past experience on Madden and NHL it seems like 12 is the magic number. Any bigger than that and the owner base gets watered down with inactivity or quitters.
I know your initial post said 6-16 teams. How much bigger are you planning to make the league?

alviston the goal is always to have a full league, just because nhl didn't have the activity to do it didn't mean we weren't trying to reach it. I want a full league, but I only want to start with a really solid smaller group to build on so we have a great foundation. So I do want to recruit as many as we can now, especially for the initial season which everyone is throwing up as a wash, give us a quick opportunity to weed out the boneheads
so try out as many people as you can, we definitely dont want just 12 owners, our goal is to eventually reach having a full league. and its so much harder to recruit once the league gets going cause alot of us aren't going to be playing new guys, just our league games, so nobody will be trying out new players and we won't find new owners

Sounds good.
Also, I noticed when I was online for the tourney that there is a feature for leagues called "Bulletin Board". Here you can post that you are looking for players. I think that will be a great way to locate players to tryout.
In the meantime I will try to get some guys.

Well I have hit up the EA forums, and ps3forums, so if you know of other places, for all our leagues, not just the show:)) NCAA comes out in July and Madden in August! Then Tiger woods in like September.

Right now, I am going to be running a league with a SOLID 18 players who play. We may use leaguedaddy for stats, but not sure yet. The thing is that we been playing together for about 3 yrs. now, and our numbers dwindled last year to 10. But with the PS3 and everyone getting MLB for it, our numbers are growing again. We had 20 in 2K5. So we are getting up there again.

Yeah, most good leagues don't start with the full number, you work your way up, less of a hassle and you get such a good core of owners, that really makes it fun, and the experience and time worth it.
