Yeah, its weird, and here are the things i dislike.
1. Goals, some of them are just retarded. A. hit and run - sometimes the pitcher throws a ball you can't possibly hit, i fail. B. sometimes you have to go 4-4 for get all your goals.
2. defense! A. Playing outfield is quite boring, and the views are damn impossible to track down gappers. B. The diving is out of wack in teh road, so much different then regular play.
3. Never getting called up. in Spring training i was invited, batted .350 and was the "starter". I was sent to AA when the season started. (started as a utility player) I have 220 Abs right now and batting .382 with league lead in SBs, AVG (but it doesn't show that, cause you have to have 250 abs to be egible), up there in RBIs, lead in triples, 2nd in doubles. And I have reached all my goals but once in the main goals. HOW WOULD i not get called up, i am ranked 7th in the league at the CF position. I am batting higher than any prospect in the mariners organization. D. Defense stats? WHERE ARE THEY!
I mean, it's fun, just kind of repatative, i wish the wait time between at bats and fielding wasn't so long, its addicting though, but just the things i wish they would fix. I don't see how someone could go through 30 seasons of this though. by then ncaa, socom, madden will probaly be out, by the 5th season? haha.

the one thing i also noticed about road to the show is you never get offered and contracts didnt complete many seasons yet but the offseasons you just pick a team you wanna be on and then after spring training they offer you a contract...last years after your contract was up 4 or 5 teams intrested in you could offer you a contract that is better

My 2nd season I had SS secured from the start of season and put up pretty good #'s. Hit .325, lead league with 90 stolen bases (gotta be some sort of record), lead league in triples as well. Ended season on a 28 game hit streak. Sim to next season, no spring training, but meh, what can I expect, they shove eckstein MILLIONS for a 5 year deal, so I can't exactly expect to get a call anytime soon, but I mean, when I break 125 stolen bases, get 10+ homers for first time (I suck for homers, no power), lead in triples again, and cut my errors down from 15 to 5 or so I'd be really dissapointed if I don't get a chance some point this year or next year. The jays just made the playoffs, and got burried int he first round, their worste player all season was at SHORT STOP, so you think they mighta considered giving me one shot. But no, they re-sign eckstein to a 5 year deal in offseason instead. I might become a free agent at end of this year if I don't get a shot.
BUT, i do like that they force you through the ranks to get there. And my ability skills aren't that great, its my stats that are great, so I think thats the main thing, we gotta push those skills up to get called up

I've been playing as a starting pitcher. I got called up to AAA twice now, at first to relieve and now to start. I'm 5-1 as a starter and I have a feeling they are going to send me back down when he is healthy again which is retarded considering the two top starters are 1-6 and 0-6 lol. I don't like how the outfielders always have to throw it into the second baseman, it just agitates me haha and the fact that the ump sometimes takes forever to give the ball to the catcher. But all-in-all, I love the goals and the fact that you earn training points in-game to help your attributes.
